The Start or the End

by Die So Fluid

Capturing a moment in time, reflecting on loss and recovery, through a story of contrasts.

Captivated when I hear it
Just like a firework being lit
Anticipation and the danger
And all I want is to stay stood way to close to it.
I’m so excited I can’t stand it
I feel ice and become fire
I can’t help it

We’ve come this far together
Let’s dive into the river
We’ll melt into each other
An iceberg into lava
We have the power to destroy each other
Why would we choose that
We’re not meant to suffer
If we let down all of our defenses
Would it bring peace
Or short circuit our senses
Always the birth of a brand new cycle feels like the end

It doesn’t have to be the end.

We have the power to destroy each other
What if we used it like angels or lovers
What if we dropped all the old pretences
And with the surrender
There’ll be no fences
Always the start of a brand new cycle feels like the end.
